ABOUT US
Skyroad Films is an independent film company from Cologne which was founded by Falko Jakobs in 2003. Up to now Skyroad Films produced multiple short films as well as three full-length feature films (HOTEP, 2008 / CATENA, 2011/ A different set of cards, 2016). Catena (2011) and the short film Access (2012) were screened at international film festivals and won several prices. Former productions were entirely made autonomously without any producer or investors. Budgets are very low, normally about a very few thousand Euro/Dollar.
Falko Jakobs was born in 1983 in Cologne-Kalk. He is an accomplished physical therapist and digital media designer. He has been shooting films since his childhood days and founded Skyroad Films in 2004. He produced several shorts. Between 2006 and 2008 he shot his first feature film HOTEP.Within Skyroad Films he works as director, cinematographer, screenwriter, cutter and musician – he plays piano and guitar. Lars Ostermann was born in Stade in 1982. From 2004 until 201 he worked as a lighting technician for Maier Bros. in Cologne. Currently he runs a care station for dogs and abandoned animals. He started doing films together with Falko Jakobs at the age of 11. In 2004 they shot the horror short “Real 2”. In 2009 he joined the core team of Skyroad Films, providing his experience, knowledge and creativity to the Skyroad-productions such as CATENA
